Product and Storage Information

Q: Where is Matcha Botanicals matcha made?
A: Our matcha is authentically produced in Japan, specifically around Uji, near Kyoto, focusing on quality and tradition.

Q: How should I store my Botanicals Matcha tea?
A: Store tea in a refrigerator and in its original packaging to maintain freshness. This method ensures that the tea stays fresh for up to a year, as indicated on the package's expiration date.

Once ground, all Matchas begin a slow process of oxidation, which degrades their properties. Our Matcha is guaranteed to be freshly ground, and this is extremely important! We undertake complex logistics and take numerous precautions with the sole aim of providing exceptional quality: a developed aromatic spectrum, great sweetness and the preservation of all beneficial nutritional properties.

Our Matcha is supplied in airtight containers, protected from light rays that could damage it, and made of special black glass, an inert material that does not react with Matcha.

To enjoy your Matcha at the highest level of quality, we recommend consuming it within 3 months and keeping it cool at +5C in our original container. Although your Matcha can stay out of the refrigerator permanently and be safe to consume, it will lose the exceptional qualities we have worked hard to provide.

Varieties of Matcha

Q: What is the difference between Ceremonial Matcha and Premium Matcha?
A: Ceremonial Matcha is harvested in spring, using only the top leaves, offering a strong aroma and premium quality. Premium Matcha, harvested in August, has a more astringent taste and is more profitable. Choose the Ceremonial for a purer experience, and the Premium for mixed drinks like lattes.
